Back Home

Well, it was a great vaca but always feels so nice to be back in your own bed. :) And of course it was especially grand to finally see Scott too!!

In WA I had a lot of fun chillin with my fam. We watched the first and only season of Freaks and Geeks, which I have been wanting to watch for a while now. (Great show! It totally should have gotten picked up, but whatevs.) We also watched the movie, My Sister's Keeper. I looooooove this movie. It is super sad but so good. The music is amazing. Like, I cannot get over how great it is. There were a few days where the sun was actually shining so we walked around downtown, at the farmers market, and the park. We dressed up lil Landon for Halloween and gave out candy. (Although he fell asleep and we had a record low of 3 trick or treaters, it was still fun!) I also got to head down to Portland one of the days and catch up with a couple old friends which was so nice! Scott's fam came over from Spokane for a weekend and we all went to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. It was so freaking sweet! It was all the actual props and costumes from the movies! So cool to see them in real life. And, surprisingly Landon did so well on the plane both times; I was so proud of him! Here's my hometown:
Scott enjoyed the rest of his time in NZ (of course!). He said the people are just so welcoming and kind that it feels like home there. In between concerts, he went caving, climbed some hills that were right out of LOTR, and a million other things that I can't remember right now because he told me all about them last night at midnight when his flight arrived. They are going back next year for sure and I can't wait to join them!
Today is Landon's offical first day of sleep training. We are working on our daytime routine first and getting him to take 3 naps in his crib. (Pure torture for both of us.) Nap #1: cried 30 minutes before faling asleep, nap #2: one hour, and nap #3: 20 minutes. I think when I go in to comfort or check on him it just makes it worse. Hopefully this helps though in the long run and he figures out that taking a nap for an hour is much nicer than crying for that time...

Yay! You're back!!! Holy cow-Washington is beautiful! I need to take a trip up there and see it in person. A couple of things...loved the costume you picked for Landon; loved the pictures Scott took in NZ, but we probably need to see more; and good luck with the whole sleeping schedule thing. A baby's cry is a heart breaking sound, but it will be great when he finally gets the hang of the whole nap thing!

How fun!! I love Olympia and downtown. And I so want to go to the Harry Potter exhibit over Christmas... we'll see if we have time. Glad you and Scott are back together, it's so hard to be apart for that long :)
